1 year in London is not gonna be enough nononononono......!!!
Went to the Regal Room, a small upper-floor chamber of a pub in Hammersmith, for a free acoustic gig night on Sunday (you have to pay for it usually, 'twas free because it was a christmas special) and the acts! were! fantastic! Called
Fishmouth Live, 'tis a monthly event that was started up by
Tony Moore, a former member of Iron Maiden and who also founded other fringe gig venues like the Bedford and Kashmir Klub which showcased debut performances by the likes of Damien Rice and KT Tunstall. He was there at Fishmouth and even did the finale number for us: a jaunty piano tune that reminded us there's more to life than dreary everyday nonsense. :) Jon Foreman (leading man of Switchfoot!) was also one of the singers, wheyyy! The other (UNSIGNED) artistes were brilliant; there was a brilliant Madagascan guy called
Modeste, a soulful Chris-Martinesque bloke (and even better, I reckon) by the name of
Scott McFarnon, a diffident but really endearing Damien Rice-ish guy called
Marcus Foster, oh and more - click on the links to hear their music! GREAT music. and FREE?!
Boy, and check out this KT Tunstall vid!
