It's so pretty pretty pretty outside... frost-covered white field and fog... everything seems a nice shady white. Tho probably I wouldn't like to be outside. It's one of those moments that're nice and comforting when you're inside. Like a nice rainy day?
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...OMNI yesterday was good. I just love Derwent JCR! Or at least, how Derwent CU decorates it and designs/creates the atmosphere... (wonder if atmosphere can be 'designed' but I'm in want for a better word) Fond memories. First OMNI I performed in was at Derwent and I remember giving a shocking testimony.
The doctor told my mom, after I was born, that I wouldn't be able to sing......
God IS gracious isn't He? :) Sigh. I love you Daddy.
Jack Frost nipping on your nose...So yesterday was good, except I started O Holy Night on a key higher and I suppose that was quite painful. lol. That's where choral training came in handy...
But I just love seeing my friends. :) I just... love this community that God has placed me in, a community of love and understanding and warmth... most times after I go to OMNI or some bible study/prayer meeting/cell/social event I get so high I take a long while before I get to sleep at night. Things just keep replaying - scenes, events, words, faces, situations, atmosphere, songs, stagefright...
eeee but I love everything! I can't remember a point in my life where I've been more fulfilled and happy - serving God, growing in Him, and because of that, growing in
security and love from/for Him
for friends
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir...And hmm. I DO miss carolling with VJ choir. At this time of the year carolling would be such a big thing back home... carolling in posh hotels with yummy food provided, carolling along the streets of Orchard and running across citylink or marina in our gowns, and the guys in their black suits to get from one hotel to the other. Fond memories yet again. And the irony that after each carolling season we never want to sing a carol again, then look forward to carolling again when the next season comes. I was just praying about how much I miss singing in a choir and carolling... then York City Church announced that they wanted more carollers in their carol service! whoppeee! I jumped on it and told Paul I was interested. Haha. It'll be a new experience, choir-carolling in England.
And folks dressed up like Eskimos???
(what a weird line)Just as I was tossing and turning at 1ish am this morning the phone rang - and over the line I heard a voice I haven't heard in weeks, a voice so so familiar to the heart. (Been missing you!) It was early morning in Singapore and the start of the new day... seemed funny that I was just turning into bed. But anyway... we had a short convo before he hurried me off to bed 'cuz it was getting late. Oh but it was nice talking to him again. :) Like old times...
