Haha.. just came back from oriental night. This event at Kasbah, the bar at Wentworth College. They played Chinese, Japanese and Korean pop... I really really used to dislike J-pop and Chinese techno and what nots but it's like when you hear ANYTHING Chinese here you just get super excited. Haha.
THE WEEKEND IS HERE! whopeee. I'm gonna play tennis again tomorrow. And going to Manchester for a day trip on Sat. Then I'm gonna start work and essay planning on Sunday.. sigh...
But I really hope I'll be kept busy with events and stuff to attend to. That way I won't keep thinking about myself and me-me-misery won't set. Need to focus on God and other people all the time. :)
Went to cell group just now... well, it wasn't exactly cell group but all the 3 student cell groups went for a talk in town. It was to set off the entire Foundations course... Foundations of the faith and foundations of York City Church. It was really great 'cuz after that we had free worship and we started singing and praying and worshipping in tongues or whatever language we felt like worshipping in. It was really FREE... and everyone was just so intensely worshipping the Lord. It was a wonderful wonderful experience. One point they raised up tho, which was backed up by at least 2 verses from the bible -- you can be a believer but NOT be equipped with the Spirit. Paul asked the believers in Acts if they have received the Holy Spirit.. they replied that they have been baptised but they haven't even heard of it. etc etc. I never really realised it. You can BELIEVE, but not be Spirit-filled. I pray that I'll be humble (ie not complacent) enough to pray for the Spirit to fill me everyday...
Yesterday's Small Groups was great! 'twas supposed to end at 930pm but it ended like at 11! Haha. Oh wells.
